Pet Memorials... Used To Remember

By Neal Bilboa

Pets bring joy and happiness to many people. They quickly become a member of the family making it difficult on family members when the pet passes away. Some people wish to have a pet memorial in honor of their beloved friend. Are there pet memorials and if so what are they? Pet memorials are objects or items that focus on preserving the memory of a lost one.

Memorials are not for people only; they can also be for beloved pets. Memorials help to preserve the memories of the one that has passed away. You may not agree with pet memorials but there are people that are crazy about their pets and spend lots of money and are willing to go to any extreme in order to preserve the pet's memory.

Pet memorials can be many different things such as sculptures, jewelry, statues, paintings, or other such items. Many people want to preserve the memory of the lost pet and a memorial is the best manner in which to accomplish this. Pet memorials can range from moderate to extreme depending on the individual and how crazy they were about their pet.

Elaborate memorials can be very costly but some people do not care about the cost. All they are concerned with is doing something in honor of the deceased. Some people find it difficult having to part with their pets; therefore, they retain as much of the corpse as possible. Taxidermy is a very common way to save the animals remains. Taxidermists are artist that can produce a lifelike replica of animals.

The uncomplicated pet memorials include ornaments, stones, pictures, and markers. Just because the memorial is small does not mean it will not honor the memory of the pet just like a big elaborate memorial. The ultimate goal of the memorial is to preserve the memory.

Surprisingly almost everyone in the world owns or has owned a pet. Most people love their pets and want to remember them when they die. Pet memorials could begin being numerous if everyone decided to honor their pets in this manner.

You might think people are crazy or out of their mind to even consider having pet memorials but remember, you must respect others and their feelings. Pets bring joy and happiness to people and quickly become a part of the family. Losing a family member can be devastating and losing a pet can be equally devastating.

Pet memorials can be elaborate or simple, fancy or plain; it is just a way to persevere memories of beloved pets. Be supportive and respect a person's memories of their beloved pet because the pet memorial is their way of honoring the memory. - 29953
